In because of the contraction of heart muscles then will cause the heart beat, pulse can be seen with felt in certain places. The pulse is a wave that can palpable on the arteries when blood is pumped out of the heart. Places that can be touched are:
- - The radial artery in the wrist thumb side, right or left hand.
- - Temporal artery on either side of the forehead.
- - Carotid arteries in the neck area near the pipe trache right and left
- - Femoral artery in the groin area limit the upper thigh, right or left
- Etc.
You do this by using the three middle fingers. Do not using the thumb because it would disrupt the examination. And do not suppress too hard because it will result in loss of pulse, press only just alone.
When a pulse examination, which must be attention are:

2. 2. Pulse rate
3. 3. Pulse rhythm (regular or not?)
